The Floc Duo Rail system: Dubai's new transport revolution
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) unveiled the Floc Duo Rail project at the GITEX Global conference in Dubai. This system of autonomous electric pods will reduce traffic congestion while having a low carbon footprint. Each pod can carry up to 16 passengers, and operates both suspended and on the ground.
The Floc Duo Rail features a lightweight infrastructure and rapid installation. Its first three lines will cover the areas ofUmm Suqeim, Al Khor, and Zabeel. These pods will offer a door-to-door service, improving mobility throughout the city.
With this project, Dubai will become the first city in the world to offer such a futuristic transport system. Although no commissioning date has yet been announced, the RTA has already begun tests to ensure its efficiency.
