Nakheel Properties. This project is currently under development, and is located some thirty kilometers from downtown Dubai, not far from the port of Dubai.
Jebel Ali (on the border between the Emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi). It will be surrounded by the Dubai Waterfront district.

Supermarkets and grocery stores
At this stage, there are no supermarkets or grocery stores in the
Palm Jebel Ali. As explained above, the area is undergoing rapid development. As a result, if you want to do your day-to-day shopping, you'll have to go to a neighbouring district. The easiest way is to go to one of Dubai's central districts, such as
Jumeirah,
Business Bay,
Downtown. You'll find shops like Carrefour and Spinneys.
Boutiques and specialty stores
What about boutiques and specialty stores? Once again, the Palm Jebel Ali district is in full development. So, if you're looking for stores specifically dedicated to clothing, household appliances or even sports, you'll need to visit one of the city's shopping malls, such as the
Dubai Mallat
Mall of the Emirates or even in the souk
Ibn Battula Mall or to
Global Village. It will require a bit of transport, but you'll find absolutely everything you need.
Sports and activities in Palm Jebel Ali
Sports centers and gymnasiums
Once again, at
Palm Jebel AliThere's not a lot of infrastructure. Sports centers and gymnasiums don't yet exist. However, in the months or years to come, the residences and the neighborhood in general will be equipped with them. In the meantime, if you want to work out in Dubai, you'll have to go to one of the many gyms specifically designed for this purpose. These include the well-established Fitness First, Gold's Gym and Warehouse Gym.
Parks and green spaces
In Dubai, you'll find numerous parks and green spaces. If in
Palm Jebel AliUntil the neighborhood is fully built out, you can visit the park at
Safaat the
Zabeelat the
Mushrif or by
Creek. In Dubai, you'll also find the Dubai Miracle Garden and a host of refreshing green spaces dotted around the city.

Historical monuments and sites
Palm Jebel Ali is a neighborhood in full development. It's not finished yet, but will be in the months and years to come. As a result, there are no truly historic sites or monuments to be found here (even if the geography is exceptional in more ways than one). On the other hand, in
DubaiYou'll find plenty of places to visit. These include
Downtown (with the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall), we also think of the beaches of
Jumeirahat
Burj al Arab as well as anything to do with the desert and related activities.
Cultural spaces and museums
Are there any museums or cultural spaces in Dubai? The answer is yes. Firstly, we highly recommend discovering the
Dubai Opera (located in Downtown). Then take the time to visit the city's finest museums, such as the Etihad Museum or the Museum of the Future, as well as more alternative museums, like the Camelid Museum or the Currency Museum. For an even more local experience, a short detour to the Souk and Deira (the old city) will give you a new insight into Dubai.

Bus and metro lines
There are no bus or metro stations in Palm Jebel Ali. However, it is possible to reach
Al Furjan or even
Jebel Ali Dubai via public transport. To do this, take the red line of the Dubai Metro.
Accessibility and frequency
Generally speaking, public transport in Dubai is particularly efficient. It operates every day between 5 a.m. and around midnight (although this depends on the day of the week). They run approximately once every 5 to 10 minutes at peak times, and every 10 to 15 minutes at slightly slower times.
Schools in Palm Jebel Ali
Palm Jebel Ali is not a neighborhood in which one or more schools can be found, as these will be developed as the Palm is officially completed. In the Jebel Ali district, however, several schools have been set up. These include the Jebel Ali School, one of the oldest British schools in the city.
