Burj Azizi: construction has begun
On January 18, 2024, Mirwais Azizi presided over the ground-breaking ceremony for his pharaonic Burj Azizi project. The event, which was attended by Azizi employees and partners, unveiled the contours of the project. The world's 2nd tallest tower after the Burj Khalifa
While the exact size of the tower is not yet known, Burj Azizi could well become the world's second-tallest tower, after Emaar's Burj Khalifa. The tower will house a 7-star hotel, offices and apartments. Burj Azizi will be located on Sheikh Zayed Road, in the heart of Dubai, not far from the Museum of the Future and the World Trade Center Dubai.
Burj Azizi, the Azizi family legacy for Dubai
During the ceremony, Mirwais Zizi, Chairman and Founder of the Group that bears his name, declared: "This tower will be our legacy. Dubai has brought so much to my family and me. This tower, which will be the second tallest in the world, is our way of giving back to this Emirate and its people, who have given us so much."
A total cost of 1.5 billion US dollars
Construction of Burj Azizi is expected to cost the Azizi family 1.5 billion US dollars. Marketing is due to start in 2024, and delivery could take place in 2029, according to the developer.
