Dubai resident visa: new rules for real estate investors

The Dubai authorities have released details of the news regarding resident visas for real estate investors. The new regulations stipulate that real estate investors will be able to receive a Golden Visa. This visa will be for a maximum of 10 years, depending on the amount of the investment. How much do you need to invest in Dubai to be eligible?

The minimum amount to qualify for the 5-year renewable Golden Visa Dubai is AED 2M, or around €500,000. Payment plan purchases are accepted. You only need to have already paid 10% of the price of your apartment or villa for a minimum amount of AED 200,000 (approx. €50,000) for your application to be accepted. Your residency visa will allow you to live in Dubai for 5 years, and will be renewed for as long as you own the property. There is no obligation to spend a certain amount of time in Dubai each year. You may not visit Dubai for two years and keep your Dubai resident visa. Under certain conditions, a 10-year visa may even be granted.
