Dubai Motor City: Introduction to the area
The ambience of the Motor City district
In Dubai Motor City, the atmosphere is a little different from what you'd find in the city center, Downtown or Business Bay. We tell you all about it!
Where is the Motor City district?
Motor City is close to one of Dubai's main highways, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. Otherwise, Motor City is a rather out-of-the-way district. To get to the city center (Downtown, Business Bay or DIFC), you'll need about 20 minutes. Allow 30 minutes to reach Dubai International Airport.
General description
Motor City is a neighborhood that has been developed, as its name suggests, around the theme of automobiles and mechanics. It has been entirely designed and developed by teams from property developer Union Properties. There are many references to this world, such as the Dubai Autodrome and F1-X Dubai, a museum dedicated to Formula 1.
Population and diversity
The Motor City is home to a large number of expatriates. Families who have come to live in the United Arab Emirates and have one or both parents working in the city center. These families were looking for a slightly quieter environment than that of the city center and its historic districts, but also for more attractive surface areas, especially when it came to buying townhouses or villas.

The average price per square meter (m²) of an apartment in Motor City - Dubai ranges from around 1,950 euros to sometimes more than 4,000 euros per m² (for the most luxurious residences). Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Factors influencing prices
Several factors influence the price of an apartment for sale, whether in the Motor City or elsewhere. Firstly, and quite logically, the question of surface area plays a central role. A studio for sale in the Motor City will inevitably cost more than a 2 or 3 room apartment, or even a villa for sale in the same area. Added to this is the question of location. An apartment in the Motor City close to a subway station, school or shopping center will be more expensive than one in the middle of nowhere. Finally, buying a "recent" apartment, in a brand-new residence (or even one under construction), with a number of amenities and services (swimming pool, gym, etc.) may cost more than an apartment in a residence with no ancillary services.

Crime rates
In Dubai, the crime rate is relatively low. In fact, it's one of the lowest in the world. Robberies, attacks and other problems that could lead to complicated legal situations are relatively rare. There are many reasons for this. The first is that the police are always on the lookout. There are numerous patrols, and foreigners/expatriates are taken very seriously. The other is that sentences are considered exemplary.

The environment and sustainability at Motor City
Green spaces, better waste management, optimized energy use and more sustainable transport... In Motor City, numerous decisions have been taken to ensure a very pleasant living environment for residents (in addition to the presence of a few parks, to get away from the "urban" aspect). These decisions also confirm Dubai's growing position in eco-urbanism. It's a way for the city to position itself as a pioneer in this field and, above all, to attract new investors, particularly those most sensitive to these issues.
